Exports
PDF for people, CSV for spreadsheets, JSON for code.
Reports export as PDF for people and CSV for spreadsheets. Both are available from the Basic plan.
The full report as a document: score, grade, every finding with its evidence and remediation, and the category breakdown. It is the format for sending to a client or a manager, and on Pro and above it carries your logo and colours rather than ours. See Branding.
The PDF is generated from the stored report rather than re-analysed, so exporting a report from three weeks ago gives you that report, not a fresh one. The analysis date is on every page of the document.
CSV
One row per finding, with the columns below. It is the format for sorting, filtering and pasting into whatever you already plan work in.
| Column | Holds |
|---|---|
category | Which of the seven areas the finding belongs to. |
vector | The stable check identifier, such as title.pixel_width. |
label | What was checked, as a short noun. |
severity | critical, recommended or optional. |
result | pass, fail or skipped. |
message | What was found. |
evidence | The measured value, where the check has one. |
remediation | What to change. |
impact, effort | Both 1 to 5. |
Filter on result = fail to get only the work. The passing checks are included because a CSV of an audit should be able to show what was examined, not only what was wrong.
Exporting a crawl
A crawl exports as CSV too, one row per page found, with its status, score, depth and finding counts. On a 500 page crawl that is the only practical way to work through the result: sort by critical count and start at the top.
Exporting from code
If you are exporting regularly, the API returns the same data as JSON and
does not need a browser. A nightly job pulling
GET /reports into your own warehouse is usually better than a
person downloading a CSV each week. See
Reports.
